Digital SAT Free Stack Parents & Counselors
Digital SAT for Parents and Counselors
Send this page to a parent or counselor who needs a calm “what is this + what do we do this week” path — not a jargon wall or a course cart.
You are helping a self-starter through the Digital SAT. The live product is College Board’s Bluebook app — not paper. Official practice is score truth. AI coach prompts are a tutor layer between real sets. Below: a 90-second format brief, what to do this week, how to help without hover-correcting every item, a copy-ready parent/counselor prompt, and same-test next steps only. No fake +N claims. No “you must buy a $2k course” scare.
15-Second Path
- Digital only: short R&W stems, adaptive Module 1 → Module 2, Desmos on all Math — train Bluebook, not paper lore.
- Bluebook full practice = score truth. Chat AI is coach work between tests, not a fake proctor.
- This week: baseline FL (or full section) → free stack order → free-vs-paid only after honest free work.
- Copy Prompt once for a household plan → close the chat → open Bluebook or the hub Overview / Free Stack.
90-Second Calm Explainer
Current product only. Classic paper SAT clocks and long-passage stamina are a different sport.
Digital Format (Bluebook)
Reading & Writing: 54 questions / 64 minutes (two 32-min modules). Math: 44 questions / 70 minutes (two 35-min modules). About 2 hours 14 minutes of testing plus a 10-minute break. Total score 400–1600.
Module 1 Routing (One Beat)
Accuracy on Module 1 routes Module 2 easier or harder inside each section. You cannot go back to a finished module. Soft-focus on early “easy” items can cap the section — protect Module 1 calmly, not heroically.
Desmos Always On Math
Calculator — including Bluebook Desmos — is allowed on every Math item. There is no calculator-off half. Desmos state does not carry from Module 1 into Module 2.
Score Truth vs Coach Layer
Bluebook timed practice sets the real number. AI prompts repair skills and plans between official sets. A model’s “you’re at 1450” guess is not a score. No fake testimonials or +N promises here.
What To Do This Week
One plain week · baseline → free stack → money decision only if needed
- Day 1: Install or confirm Bluebook. Put one full practice or full section on the calendar. Share this page + the Free Stack link. Copy the parent prompt once if you want a household plan in chat — then close the chat.
- Day 2: Run the baseline (or review yesterday’s report). Note Math vs R&W and any Module 1 soft misses. One sentence each: what went well, what to repair first.
- Days 3–4: Free stack order only — free skill lessons (e.g. Khan Official Digital SAT) + at most one coach prompt for the top miss tags. No new course carts these days. Student share default stays Free Prep Stack.
- Day 5: Second official section or full practice if energy allows. Reassess tags.
- Weekend: Still no baseline? Do not buy. Free work sticking? Stay $0. Stuck after honest free weeks or need accountability you will not fake? Read Free Prep vs Paid — one path max, current Digital format only.
Never this week: three course trials, zero Bluebook UI, hover-correcting every homework item, or treating chat as a full-length score.
How To Help Without Hover-Correcting
Your job is structure and calm — not becoming a second proctor on every stem.
Calendar Blocks
Protect full practice and sleep. Put Bluebook sessions on a shared calendar. Consistency beats last-week cramming.
Sleep and Food
Test-day basics still move scores. Guard sleep the night before full-lengths the same way you would before the real exam.
Device and Ticket
Device charged, Bluebook installed early, admission ticket and ID rules checked once — not the morning of. Practice on the device class they will use when you can.
Encouragement Over Score Lectures
Ask what tags they are repairing. Celebrate finished Bluebook blocks. Do not rework every miss at the kitchen table — that burns trust and time.
Skip Panic Purchases
Old paper-SAT books and $2k panic courses before a baseline rarely help. Prefer free stack first; paid only after honest free work or real accountability need.
SAT vs ACT Still Open?
Finish that room choice before two prep piles. Explicit compare only: SAT vs ACT.
Copy-Ready Prompt: Parent / Counselor Coach
Copy → send. Optional lines are skippable. Use once for a calm household plan — then verify on Bluebook. Official practice is still score truth.

Direct “you.” Honest. No brochure filler. No other-exam funnels.
Long prompts are copied fully; if a chat link is too long, we copy the prompt and open a short paste instruction.
When To Stop AI And Open Bluebook
Use this page and the prompt above to lock a calm week plan. Then close the chat. Score truth is timed Bluebook practice — adaptive modules, short R&W stems, full-calc Math, real SPR entry. AI cannot sell a score or replace that UI. For student shares, prefer Free Prep Stack. For format briefing on the hub, use Overview. For money, use Free vs Paid after a baseline — not three course carts.
